Most of these items are new purchases. The only repurchases here are Asian Secrets and Veet
I'm quite excited about these items, especially Pure Beauty's Perfect Cleansing Oil and the gel foundation from IN2IT. If the latter works well for me, I will get their 2-way cake foundation that goes well with it.

“My Extreme Transformation for Maroon 5” Promo Winner

Last September 18, 2012, one lucky Araneta Center Facebook fan enjoyed two front row tickets to the most awaited concert of the year—Maroon 5 Live in Manila 2012—by winning Araneta Center’s Facebook-based promo “My Extreme Transformation for Maroon 5.”

In line with the Smart Araneta Coliseum’s “extreme transformation”, we asked our fans to tell us about an “extreme transformation” they recently went through or plan to do in terms of beauty, fashion, and lifestyle.

My "extreme transformation" plan is to change my unhealthy lifestyle. I want to switch to a healthier and more active lifestyle (which I've trying to do for a few weeks now) because I'm not getting any younger. The vanity part is just a bonus. I just want to put my health in a tiptop shape. Removing junk and fast food in my diet and doing more chores are my initial steps. I don't want to do anything drastic, I'm in no hurry. Besides, this is not a quick fix. A lifestyle change means you will stick with it forever, so no crash diets or quick fixes for me. Healthier choices with what I put in my body and being mobile are my priorities right now. :)

Entries were posted in dedicated “My Extreme Transformation for Maroon 5” photo albums in Facebook starting September 13, 2012 to September 17, 2012.  The entry with the most number of likes or votes at exactly 6PM last September 17, 2012 was announced the winner.

Promo winner Corey Uruga and her plus one, Camille Denyse, enjoyed a scrumptious dinner for two at Sachi and two front row tickets to Maroon 5.

Here’s what she had to say about the experience:

“September 18, 2012, I considered [this day] the most wonderful and awesome event in my life. I was given a chance of a lifetime to watch my favorite band [sitting on] FRONT ROW seats, the Maroon 5, and to see up close the person you ever [wished for—ADAM LEVINE.

Our [pre-concert dinner] was at SACHI Restaurant. We were very excited.  The concert was a BLAST.  My niece (Camille Denyse—a fashion blogger) and I were standing, dancing, and singing all night. Took so many pictures and some videos for souvenir, of course. All my favorite songs were played—Misery, Payphone, Daylight, She Will Be Loved, and many more. ADAM is so HOT.  The BAND is wonderful.

Until this very moment, I’m still floating with joy. I can’t find words to express how lucky I am.  Still very lucky, I grabbed ADAM's cup of water.

Once again, thank you so much to the people behind this event, it’s a pleasure of making me part of the concert.”

Here in Araneta Center, we give you once-in-a-lifetime experiences!  Keep visiting AranetaCenter on Facebook for more promos and contests about our upcoming shows and concerts!

Maroon 5 Goes Beyond Loud in the Big Dome

ICONIC PERFORMANCE AT AN ICONIC VENUE

All roads led to the Big Dome last Tuesday and fans from all over the city filled the iconic coliseum to the rafters in an unprecedented turnout as the pop-rock band Maroon 5 held the Manila leg of their Overexposed World Tour 2012. Although this was the third time the band performed on local soil, it seemed like it was their first as the event quickly turned from a one-night concert to a historic musical experience in the Philippine concert scene.

The queues at the newly-transformed Grand Atrium of the Smart Araneta Coliseum said it all. It was a veritable sea of humanity as excited fans snaked through the lines to enter the venue. There was a mad rush to buy the merchandise and the glow sticks around the coliseum concourse before they positioned in their places. No one wanted to miss a second of the much-awaited performance. Who could blame them? The mad scramble for tickets to the concert started as early as June when these were uploaded on TicketNet Online. In just a few days, the concert was sold out.

When Maroon 5 finally came on stage, the screams went beyond loud. Adam Levine and his band brought the house down with the opening number, “Payphone”. Glow-sticks illuminated the Big Dome as Adam Levine wowed the crowd with favourites that catapulted them to worldwide fame like “This Love,” “Harder to Breathe,” “Won’t Go Home Without You,” “Misery” and much, much more. Aside from their hits, the band also gave worthy covers of The White Stripes (Seven Nation Army), Justin Timberlake (SexyBack) and Human League (Don’t You Want Me). They even teased with samples of the dance craze “Gangnam Style” only to rouse the crowd and lead them to their finale number of “Moves Like Jagger.”

Levine also showed why he is considered as one of the world’s leading pop icons with his tireless energy as he crooned, rocked, and screamed their hits to the tens of thousands of Pinoys  in attendance. He sang, he played the drums and guitar, he teased, he rocked the Big Dome into a frenzy. No fancy stage-work and production was needed as the lead singer’s stage appeal and his band’s musical prowess were enough to keep the crowd electrified throughout the night.

The choice of venue couldn’t be more apt as the Big Dome has hosted numerous global icons in the past and has been the Philippine home of foreign acts for decades. It is but fitting that Maroon 5, a band that was able to deliver an iconic concert to their Filipino fans perform in the only iconic venue in the Philippines.

Brighten up with Clarity’s Intense Pulsed Light

Styles come and go, one thing remains the universal classic — a flawless and healthy complexion.
Owning blemish-free, silky smooth skin is important to many; and people have gone to great lengths in its pursuit. That is why beauty clinics, such as Clarity Aesthetic Medical & Dental Center, have focused their efforts toward making premium skin care available for everyone.

Although most people are willing to undergo various treatments to improve the quality of their complexion, some restrictions still come into play, such as complications, allergies or simply the downtime of recovery. One procedure stands out for people who have sensitive skin or are otherwise too busy — a treatment called Intense Pulsed Light.

Intense Pulsed Light, commonly known as IPL treatment, is a non-invasive procedure that uses a broad spectrum of light delivered onto the surface of the skin. The light penetrates through the pigmented areas, naturally removing the injured tissues, resulting to a firmed skin and lightened pigmentation.

The procedure is an effective way to remove freckles, age spots, and sun-damaged skin; it also helps diminish brown spots and spider veins.
While the treatment poses various benefits that improve the quality of the skin, it also treats a host of conditions and abnormalities like acne problems, facial telangiectasias or broken blood vessels, as well as Rosacea, a chronic condition characterized by facial redness. IPL treatment also builds a firm foundation for the skin by heightening its collagen production, which significantly improves texture and eliminates skin sagging.

What makes IPL treatment different from other processes is that it is flexible and can be personalized depending on the patient’s needs. The wavelength used, along with the energy level and exposure time, can be set to suit individual sensitivity or preference. The procedure does not require anesthetics and results can be seen almost instantly or after a few sessions.
The process is even more appealing given the relatively short downtime. While other treatments require long recovery, undergoing IPL treatment needs little or no recovery at all. This makes it perfect for people who are always on the go so because they can resume regular activities shortly after the procedure.

With a wide array of dermatological and aesthetic dental services, Clarity Aesthetic Medical & Dental Center offers IPL treatment to its patients as well as anti-aging and contouring services. At Clarity, procedures are done by board-certified doctors in dermatology, aesthetic dentistry, and plastic/cosmetic surgery.

Visit Clarity Aesthetic Medical & Dental Center at the 5th Level Wellness Zone, Shangri-la PlazMall , EDSA corner Shaw Blvd., Mandaluyong City. For more information, contact their office through telephone number 0916-CLARITY (2527489)or through their Customer Service Hotline 632-638-1294 or visit their website www.clarity.com.ph.

4th MEGA Brands SALE - September 28, 29 & 30

Let's all head to SM Megamall this weekend and score awesome items from our favorite brands at discounted prices! :)

Wet n Wild Coloricon in Walking On Eggshells - Review, Photos, Swarches

Wet n Wild Coloricon in Walking On Eggshells is another neutral palette (with subtle pop of color) from Wet n Wild that offers good color payoff. The shadow for the browbone is quite shimmery, even for my taste. The crease color is really good, bronze-y color with gold shimmer. It reminds me of Urban Decay's Smog. The eyelid color (light pink chamagne) is claimed by other bloggers as a dupe for Stila's Kitten

Wet n Wild Coloricon in Walking On Eggshells

PROS: Color payoff is good, long wearing, can be worn from day to night, doesn't irritate my eyes, affordable and locally available
CONS: A matte shade would have balanced all those shimmer, no mirror, I don't recommend the tools included

VERDICT:
I will repurchase when I don't find something better.
